How does the book teach how a computer works?

We follow the different abstractions of a computer from the lowest to the highest. Ruby’s journey begins from electricity and bits, followed by logic gates, to hardware side with components, and to software side with operating system and apps. In the workbook the kids practice the names of different hardware, get to know the ideas behind input/ouput, design sensors, compete with a GPU, build their own components and discuss how computers are present in our everyday life. This is not a work of non-fiction, the goal is not to educate the kids, rather spark their curiosity. One kid will enjoy the story as it is, another will want to learn more about logic gates or transistors.
