Hockney's writings on perspective and perception are sure to be interesting to you then, he has such a vivid way of observing and also a curiosity around technology! Chinese scrolls play a big part in his thinking too. I visited Lightroom in UK a few years ago, where they did full-room projections of Hockney's work and it was the first of those exhibitions I really clicked with, in big part because Hockney was still involved in planning it.

I loved ‘Spring Cannot Be Cancelled’, the timing of the lockdown and his use of the property for his daily art wanders was very fortuitous.

I have a book of Hockney’s iPhone art at home that is always a curious work to look through, how he interpreted the limits of the technology at the time in accordance with what his expansive vision contained.

As you say, he dialogues are absolutely wonderful. Lovely post :) thank you.

We spent a lot of time moving back and forth between the bouquets of flowers he did with iPads, they are so good! And I love the lockdown story, how artists take the time and theme they are offered and build it into their own story.

This was lovely. Hockney’s versatile mind is always interesting to explore.

On your request for women exploring unique intersections, I would suggest two for now:

One is my partner, @gaylatrail who writes about ecology, creativity, and being human.

The second is Karen Ingram who writes about biotechnology @biogeneticblooms
