Hi Linda! Great perspective on multiplayer games. About the "1000 vs 1000" games.. Have you seen how crazy complex EVE online has become? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6j_UsGJnkQ

Sending love from the Czech Republic. Keep up the good work <3

Oh true! I vaguely remember EVE, but honestly haven't been following and/or played. Nice!

Made me also think, that in educational context it might be also useful to think that not all experiences need to be massively multiplayer - I think of Journey, where the other players are only a presence. I don't know how I would use ChatGPT differently if there was always a shadow or a classroom of them with me..

Yeah, I completely forgot EVE - is there anything particular that makes one have those group play goosebumps or should I just go ahead and try it out?

Sorry, I missed your reply!

I never really managed to do much in the multiplayer space in Eve, aside from providing content for pirates :P

But there is the thrill that your actions have in some sense 'real' consequences, in that if your ship gets destroyed, its gone for good, it doesn't respawn, you have to go back and earn the resources to get a ship and all of its components again, which is a significant time sink.

But reading about the massive battles, and the insanely expensive mistakes that people make is thrilling in itself.
